Mark Mark Gurman of Bloomberg revealed that the iMac is still in the early stages of development, and he doesn't expect Apple to release it until the end of 2024 or early 2025 at the earliest.

Goolman has previously said that Apple is developing a large iMac with more than 30 inches, but he has now made it clear that the new iMac will have roughly the same screen as Apple's high-end Pro Display XDR monitor.

Apple released a new Pro Display XDR monitor in December 2019. The monitor has a 6K resolution and offers Retina-quality content, starting at $4999 (CTOnews.com Note: bank of China starts at 39999 yuan).

Apple has stopped production of Intel-based 27-inch iMac and iMac Pro, but there is no corresponding Apple Silicon product (only a 24-inch iMac), but Apple offers a 27-inch Studio Display to work with Mac Studio or other Mac computers.

The 24-inch iMac with an M1 chip was released in April 2021, and Gurman expects Apple to launch an iterative version of the M3 chip early next year, except for the chip.

According to the known news, the new generation of M3 chip will be based on TSMC 3nm process, which can bring stronger performance and lower power consumption than the current 5nm chip.
