CTOnews.com, July 9 (Xinhua)-- Samsung originally planned to launch a new XR headset in February 2024, but due to Apple's launch of the Vision Pro, Samsung decided to review the specification and design of its XR headset and delayed the launch by 3-6 months, according to South Korean media SBS Biz.

SBS Biz said Samsung initially planned to start mass production of its XR headset early next year, but after learning about Apple's Vision Pro specifications, Samsung decided that its XR headset needed to be overhauled to improve competitiveness. Apple's Vision Pro, which integrates VR and AR features, will be available early next year.

However, CTOnews.com noted that Apple has not been smooth sailing, and it is reported that the Vision Pro is facing production problems, leading Apple to lower its first-month sales target from 1 million to 100000. Apple also plans to slowly launch the Vision Pro, which can only be purchased by appointment.
