Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu and OC_Formula for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, July 9, Intel admitted in late June that there was a BUG that could cause system interruption, and has suspended the supply of fourth-generation Xeon Sapphire Rapids processors. Intel's latest announcement says it has found a solution and has resumed supply.
The Intel announcement translated by CTOnews.com reads as follows:
We have previously reported problems with Intel Xeon processors, which may cause system jams in some scenarios.
As a precaution, we have temporarily suspended shipments of these processors. We are now confident to fix these problems and have resumed all SPR-MCC shipments and are working with customers to launch firmware.
Intel also assured customers that the new processor firmware would not affect performance.
It is said that the current Bug mainly affects SKU (up to 32 cores) based on MCC-Die (medium number of cores) chips, while the 60-core XCC model does not find this error.
