Linda Yaccarino, the current chief executive of Twitter, wants to recover the legal costs on the grounds that the lawsuit is based on false statements to Twitter.

The law firm charged an "emergency fee" of $84.3 million (currently about 609 million yuan) and a bill of $16 million per hour (currently about 116 million yuan) to help facilitate a deal between Twitter and Musk.

The amount of the fee shocked Martha Ryan Fox, the former Twitter chief executive and board member, who wrote succinctly in an email after receiving a copy of the bill: "Oh, my God".

Twitter board members were initially shocked, but they voted to approve the deal. According to the document, 84 million US dollars (currently about 607 million yuan) was transferred to the law firm just minutes before the deal was signed.
