CTOnews.com July 8 news, Blue Arrow Aerospace announced that Rosefinch II remote launch vehicle has completed the rocket transfer and erection work at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center·Blue Arrow Space Launch Site on July 6,2023, and the preparations have come to an end.

According to introduction, Blue Arrow Space Program organized and implemented the flight test mission of Rosefinch-2 remote launch vehicle from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center No.96 liquid oxygen methane rocket station at 14:00 on July 12. Let us wish the launch success together.

Rosefinch II launch vehicle is a liquid oxygen methane rocket independently developed by Blue Arrow Aerospace. It is also the only liquid rocket in China's commercial rocket field that has passed the flight verification of the self-developed all-rocket power system.

According to official Blue Arrow news, the Rosefinch-2 remote-2 launch vehicle arrived at Jiuquan rocket launch site on May 12, and the company announced in early June that it would start the final assembly of Rosefinch-2 remote-3 rocket.

This launch mission will verify the independent development capability of the whole system of Rosefinch II liquid launch vehicle and challenge the excellent goal of the world's first orbiting liquid oxygen methane rocket, which has milestone significance.

Rosefinch-2 rocket is a two-stage cryogenic liquid launch vehicle with a body diameter of 3.35 meters, a total length of 49.5 meters, a takeoff mass of 219 tons and a takeoff thrust of 268 tons. It is China's first and largest liquid oxygen methane launch vehicle.

The first stage of the rocket adopts four "Tianque"80-ton liquid oxygen methane engines in parallel; the second stage of the rocket engine adopts a single "Tianque"80-ton liquid oxygen methane engine and a "Tianque"10-ton floating liquid oxygen methane engine. The main engine configuration is the same as that of the first stage engine. The cold separation mode is adopted for rocket interstage separation, and the spin separation mode is adopted for fairing separation.

The first-stage flight, first-stage separation, second-stage ignition and fairing separation were normal. After the second-stage main engine was shut down, the traveling aircraft was shut down abnormally, and the launch mission failed.

On March 18,2023, Blue Arrow Aerospace Science and Technology Co., Ltd.(Blue Arrow Aerospace) organized and held a review meeting on abnormal shutdown failure of the second stage of Rosefinch II remote launch vehicle to closely organize the resumption of Rosefinch II to ensure the continuous success of subsequent launch missions.
