The new car is BYD's second pure electric passenger car for the Singapore market and the first based on BYD's pure electric platform e-platform 3.0. it is equipped with a blade battery and meets the COE Class A standard. the price including COE is S $156888 (currently about 841222 yuan), compared with only 116800 yuan in China.

CTOnews.com Note: anyone who wants to register a new car in Singapore must first obtain a COE (Certificate of Entitlement) certificate of entitlement.

COE represents vehicle ownership and the right to use limited road space within 10 years, which is simply a special license. Singaporeans call it a "car ownership license", that is, a vehicle license quota permit issued by the Singapore government to obtain the legal right to use the road for a period of 10 years through competitive bidding.

The five-seater model, which uses 44.9kWh batteries and provides 94 horsepower and 180Nm power, has a 100-kilometer acceleration of 12.3 seconds and a WLTP range of 340km.

BYD is Singapore's best-selling electric car brand in the first half of 2023, with more than 300 units sold so far.

Huang Chunquan, general manager of BYD Singapore, said at the press conference: "in 2022, BYD officially launched the BYD ATTO 3 model in Singapore, which was widely praised by the market and won the top spot in cumulative sales in Singapore's pure electricity market from January to May 2023. Today, BYD DOLPHIN will kick off the BYD Ocean series. Figures released by BYD in June showed that new energy vehicle sales in June were 253046, up 88.79 per cent from 134036 in the same month last year and 5.34 per cent from 240220 in May.

BYD sold 10536 new energy vehicles overseas in June, up 3.26% from 10203 in May.
