CTOnews.com July 7 news, according to Reddit community netizens feedback, in the Beta version of Samsung Health app, found a new "Ring Support" option, suggesting that Samsung will launch smart ring products in the future.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Samsung is developing a health tracking device, the Galaxy Ring, which is equipped with a PPG (photoelectric volume pulse wave) sensor and an ECG (electrocardiogram) sensor to accurately track the wearer's heart activity.

Smart rings can better fit the wearer's skin, so more accurate results can be obtained. Samsung has submitted an application for the "Galaxy Ring" trademark to South Korean regulator KIPRIS, but it is not clear when Samsung will commercialize its products.

Samsung also recently applied to the UK intellectual property Office (UKIPO) for the trademarks "Samsung Circle", "Samsung Index" and "Samsung Insight".

These trademarks may be related to smart wearable devices or accessories, such as smart rings, smart bracelets, smart glasses or VR controllers.
