Data show that from January to June, Changan automobile sales were 1215681, up 7.99 percent from the same period last year; of which 1020506 were sold by independent brands (excluding joint venture brands such as Changan Ford and Changan Mazda), up 13.39 percent from the same period last year; autonomous passenger cars sold 768055 vehicles, up 22.07 percent from the same period last year; and overseas sales of independent brands were 116218, up 14.30 percent from the same period last year.

In terms of new energy vehicles, the independent brand of Changan Automobile contributed a total of 39734 vehicles in June, an increase of 117.51% from January to June to 176057 vehicles, an increase of 107.23%.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Changan announced a sales target of 400000 new energy vehicles in 2023 and an internal target of 500000. By 2024, both internal and external targets will be doubled, that is, external targets of 800000 vehicles and internal targets of 1 million vehicles. Changan also said that "this year's sales target of 400000 new energy vehicles is expected to be met."
