CTOnews.com July 6, according to the latest report released by market research firm Counterpoint Research, during the June 18 event (June 1-18), smartphone sales in China fell 8% from a year earlier.

By brand segment, vivo has the largest share, with 18.2% of the market, followed by Apple (17.9%) and Glory (15.4%).

Apple continues to do well at the top end of the market, growing 8% year-on-year without any significant competition. In order to increase the sales of iPhone during the 618 period, e-commerce websites basically offer 20% discount promotion.

Huawei's mobile phone sales rose 52% year-on-year. The company announced that it had returned to normal product launches this year, launching smartphones ranging from the Mate X3 to Changxiang 60 in the first half of 2023, covering almost all price ranges.

During the 618 event, total market sales increased by about 30% compared with the previous 18 days (May 14-31), with Xiaomi, which focuses on online sales, growing most significantly, reaching 52%. Xiaomi has also expanded its product portfolio to launch the K60 16GB+1TB model at a very competitive price of 2899 yuan.
