CTOnews.com, July 5 (Xinhua)-- British singer and songwriter Tim Arnold has released a new album called Super Connected, which includes a Vision Pro parody commercial starring famous actor Stephen Fry. However, the album was banned by Apple Music because Apple did not like this fictional form of advertising.

The Vision Pro, a headset launched by Apple last month, also known as the "space computer", provides an immersive audio-visual experience that makes users feel like they are in a virtual world.

CTOnews.com noted that Arnold created the spoof ad in 2019, before Apple released the Vision Pro. In the ad, Frye introduces a fictional product called "iHead" in an exaggerated tone, which allows users to "fully integrate with their own music."

Arnold said that the commercial is an important part of the album, it is a satire on how digital services affect our music and lives by inserting ads. He believes that the Apple Music ban on the ad confirms what he is trying to say: technology companies and streaming services have no sense of humor.

Arnold also pointed out that Apple Music did not do the same for other albums that contained spoof ads or fake broadcast clips, such as Queens Of The Stone Age's "Songs For The Deaf", TD Cruze's "TDTV" and The Who's "The Who Sell Out." He believes that Apple should allow artists to express their ideas and ideas freely.

So far, Arnold has issued an open letter calling on Apple to lift the ban on the ad. The letter was supported by a number of people in the entertainment industry, including Kaiser Chiefs lead singer Ricky Wilson and Spandau Ballet composer Gary Kemp.
