CTOnews.com, July 5, Russian auto market analyst Autostat statistics show that a total of 82407 cars were sold in Russia in June, up from 72171 in May and a surge of 151.8% compared with 32731 in June last year.

Lada, a local Russian car brand, ranks first in the domestic market, with a market share of 33.5% in the first half of the year, up from 20.8% in 2022. Avtovaz, Lada's parent company, said sales of Lada nearly quadrupled in June from a year earlier.

In terms of market share, six of the top 10 brands are from China, including Harvard, Chery and Geely, which continue to fill the vacuum left by the exit of western companies.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Harvard's first love (locally known as Haval Jolion) ranked second in Russian car sales and No. 1 in non-domestic car sales in May with monthly sales of 3864 vehicles, while the No. 1 Lada Lada Granta sold 15791 vehicles.
