CTOnews.com news on July 5, July 5, SAIC GM's third Audenon super factory, Dongyue Auteneng Super Factory, officially started construction in the SAIC GM Dongyue base in Yantai, Shandong Province. According to SAIC GM officials, this is another move to improve the manufacturing strength of new energy core components in response to SAIC's "three-year Action Plan for the Development of New Energy vehicles".

According to the plan, Dongyue Aoteneng Super Factory will be put into mass production in the first half of 2025. It claims that it will have the same "high-precision processing and assembly technology, high standard quality control management, high flexible collinear production capacity" as the other two Aoteneng super factories (located in Jinqiao and Wuhan, respectively).

SAIC GM has already deployed a production base in Dongyue before the construction of the Altenon super factory. It has been 20 years since its establishment, and it has been rated as "GM's most valuable factory in the world" and a world-class "platinum factory".

At present, SAIC GM has Cadillac Ruige, Buick E5, Buick E4 and other pure electric models have been put into production. GM's Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac will all produce pure electric vehicles based on the Orlando platform. According to SAIC GM's plan, a total of 10 domestic Autenon platform models will be launched in 2025.

CTOnews.com previously reported that SAIC GM's Buick, Chevrolet and Cadillac brands delivered a total of 7503 new energy vehicles in June, of which 3587 were delivered by the pure electric medium-sized SUV Buick E5.
