CTOnews.com, July 4 (Xinhua)-- Samsung and Best Buy have faced class action lawsuits in the United States on suspicion of falsely promoting some of the functions of Samsung QLED 4K televisions, according to Yonhap news agency Yonhap. The lawsuit was filed on Monday by Ray Kim Law, a law firm in California's Central District Court.

Some of Samsung's QLED 4K TVs are not equipped with the Motion Xcelerator Turbo+, FreeSync or HDMI 2.1ports advertised by the company and Best Buy, according to lawsuit filings. In general, some smaller versions of TVs lack certain features. For example, the 43-inch version of The Frame TV does not support 120Hz refresh rates, while other sizes of TVs have this feature.

Motion Xcelerator Turbo + is a feature that increases the frame rate of content by inserting frames, making the content look smoother. FreeSync is a technology developed by AMD, which can synchronize the refresh rate of the display with the frame rate of the content, reduce picture tearing, stutter and jitter, and improve the game experience. HDMI 2.1is the latest version of the HDMI interface, which can support the transmission of content up to 4K resolution, 120 frames per second or 8K resolution, 60 frames per second.
