CTOnews.com, July 4, according to the deep operating system official news, in the released version of deepin V23 beta, the deep operating system is officially adapted to Apple Mac mini M1.

Officials say Mac mini M1 is a mini-computer mainframe released by Apple in November 2020. It is equipped with an 8-core M1 processor with the highest 3.2GHz frequency, two lightning ports, two USB 3.0 Type A, HDMI 2.0 and a 3.5mm headphone port. Because the same processor is used in the same series of Macbook Air M1 and Macbook Pro M1, this adaptation also lays a foundation for the transplantation of these two machines in the future.

It is officially acknowledged that at the current stage, although it has been able to start the deepin system normally on Mac Mini M1, it has not yet reached the stage of daily use, and there are many adaptation problems. For example, the system lacks software applications, starts the no setup wizard for the first time, and the sound and GPU hardware acceleration is not available. At present, officials are actively working to solve these problems.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the deep operating system deepin V23 beta was officially released in May this year. Officials say deepin V23 beta is a phased version of deepin V23, which is upgraded from V23 Alpha, but is not recommended for production environments.
