CTOnews.com, July 3 (Xinhua)-- Electric car maker Rivian Automotive said on Monday that it delivered 12640 vehicles in the second quarter, up 59 percent from the previous quarter.

▲ Touyuan Rivian, whose manufacturing plant in Normore, Illinois produced 13992 cars over the same period, rose 4 per cent to $17.30 in pre-market trading.

Rivian issued a statement last month that Rivian owners will be able to use the Tesla supercharging station with adapters from 2024, and will make Tesla charging ports standard for their vehicles from 2025, while adopting Tesla's charging standard.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Rivan's first-quarter revenue reached $661 million (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 4.713 billion yuan), up 596% from a year earlier, with a net loss of $1.349 billion (currently about 9.618 billion yuan), narrowing year-on-year. The company is currently selling R1T electric pickups and R1S electric SUV.
