CTOnews.com Samsung confirmed today that it will relaunch the Galaxy S21 FE phone in India with a new chipset. Originally launched in January 2022, the phone uses Samsung's own Exynos 2100 chipset in India and Snapdragon 888 chipset in other markets, and now Samsung has decided to offer Snapdragon 888 version of Galaxy S21 FE in India to improve the performance and competitiveness of the phone.

The Snapdragon 888 chipset is equipped with the Adreno 660 GPU, and Samsung did not disclose the specific launch date of the phone, but has provided a link for interested users to register so that they can be notified when more details are available. The phone's full name is Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G 2023 to distinguish it from previous Exynos versions. It is also expected to come in a new navy blue.

Aside from the chipset and color, other hardware features of the phone should remain unchanged, including a 6.4-inch 2X dynamic AMOLED display, a 12 megapixel main camera, a 4500 mAh battery, 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The phone is the cheapest in Samsung's flagship range and is currently priced at Rs 43999 in India (CTOnews.com note: currently around RMB 3894).
