CTOnews.com, July 3 (Xinhua)-- according to Axios, a document from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) reviewing the Microsoft acquisition shows that Sony Mutual Entertainment President Jim Ryan (Jim Ryan) told investors in early 2022 that careful consideration of children's play experience on PS consoles is an important reason why game community Roblox is absent from the PS platform.

"historically, because there are a large number of children using PS hosts, we have been very careful to prevent them from coming into contact with anything that might take advantage of them," ▲ source Roblox Ryan told investors.

What Ryan means by "taking advantage" is that while Roblox supports free publishing and playing games, these games may encourage children to use Robux, a virtual currency bought with real money, to enjoy a better experience.

However, Ryan also said that as more and more investors are eager for the Roblox to appear on PS, Sony is also changing its attitude on the matter: "however, in the past few years, we have reviewed these policies and relaxed a little bit. Despite Ryan's comments more than a year ago, Roblox still doesn't appear on the PS platform, and the game currently supports Xbox, iOS, Android, Windows and macOS. Nintendo has not commented on the fact that the Roblox cannot be launched on Switch, but Nintendo has always attached great importance to child safety.
