CTOnews.com, July 3 (Xinhua)-- Samsung will officially launch two folding screen phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5, at the Galaxy Unpacked event later this month. Prior to this, real photos of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 have been released, showing the new hinge and rear camera design of the machine.

As can be seen from the photos released by whistleblower Ahmed Qwaider, the two folded parts of Galaxy Z Fold 5 have almost no gap after folding, which is a big improvement over the previous generation. There are speakers, USB Type-C ports and microphones at the bottom, and three microphones and a speaker at the top. CTOnews.com notes that the phone appears to be equipped with stereo speakers and four microphones.

Samsung is rumored to have developed a new droplet hinge for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, similar to the hinges used in the new generation of folding screen phones made by Huawei, OPPO, vivo and Xiaomi. The hinge can eliminate the gap between the two folding parts and reduce the crease of the inner screen.

In the image below, you can see the rear camera layout of Galaxy Z Fold 5, which still has three rear cameras, the same as Galaxy Z Fold 4. However, Samsung has changed the position of the LED flash to the right of the camera sensor, and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to be equipped with a 5000-megapixel camera, 1200 megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and 1000 megapixel 3x optical zoom.
