CTOnews.com July 3 news, according to foreign media Autocar reported that Aston Martin is currently speeding up the process of brand electrification, the latest measure is to buy parts for interior decoration from Geely to use in its future electric models.

Touyuan Pexels revealed that Geely will provide Aston Martin with seats and HVAC (air conditioning and ventilation) for the new car, which will make Aston Martin more focused on developing new cars, including pure electric models. According to Aston Martin CEO Amedeo Felisa, the current supplier list will be reduced by 30 per cent.

(hereinafter referred to as "Geely Holdings") completed the acquisition of 7.60% of the shares of British ultra-luxury performance brand Aston Martin Lagunda International Holdings (hereinafter referred to as "Aston Martin") on September 30, 2022. On May 18 this year, Geely increased its shareholding to about 17% of Geely Holdings.

In addition, the American electric car "New Power" brand Lucid will provide powertrain components for Aston Martin's pure electric model. But although Aston Martin currently has specific electrification plans, it still doesn't want all of its models to become pure electric models.

As for the brand's upcoming plug-in hybrid model, the chairman of Aston Martin has said that "the technology will continue until the 2030s", the first PHEV model, the Valhalla, will be launched by the end of next year, and the first mass-produced electric car will be launched "as scheduled" in 2026.
