CTOnews.com, July 2, according to the latest survey by Valve, the number of users of Windows 11 on the Steam platform continues to grow, about to exceed 36%.

Steam conducts monthly surveys of users' hardware and software to help companies and game developers make future development decisions. Users are randomly selected to participate in the survey, and users can also choose to exit, so the final data is not 100% accurate.

Although Windows 11 has not yet become the operating system of choice for the average PC user, its popularity among gamers is growing. According to Valve's latest June survey, Windows 10 currently accounts for 59.43% of Steam users (down 1.08% from the previous month), while Windows 11 accounts for 35.75% (up 1.76% from last month), the highest level since Windows 11 was released two years ago.

CTOnews.com notes that overall, 96.77% of Steam users use Windows computers to access the platform (this figure includes Windows 7 and 8.1). 1.79% of users using macOS,1.44% use Linux.

On the hardware side, the most noteworthy changes in the report are related to RAM and GPU models: 32GB's RAM is now the second most popular configuration, while NVIDIA RTX 3060 is back in second place, surpassing NVIDIA GTX 1060.
