CTOnews.com July 2 News According to the latest genealogy research, NVIDIA founder and CEO Huang Renxun and AMD President and CEO Su Zifeng are much closer than people thought.

This discovery was recently announced by Wu Jiajin, a senior financial media person and family inheritance researcher. Wu Jiajin said that Huang Renxun's mother Luo Caixiu and AMD CEO Su Zifeng's grandfather Luo Bo Mu are the youngest sister and eldest brother of the second generation of 12 members of the Luo family in Tainan. According to their seniority, although Huang Renxun is only six years older than Su Zifeng, Su Zifeng has to call Huang Renxun a cousin.

The two leaders of PC tech giants were born in Tainan, Taiwan, but immigrated to the United States with their families when they were four and three years old, respectively. Huang and Su's grandfather had at least 12 children, meaning they had many cousins and it might not be easy to keep in touch. Earlier, Su Zifeng said at a webinar that she and Huang Renxun were "distant relatives, probably complicated second cousins or something."

Huang Renxun and Su Zifeng are both leaders in the scientific and technological world, known as "AI Godfather" and "Semiconductor Queen" respectively. Both their companies, NVIDIA and AMD, have been hugely successful in graphics processors, artificial intelligence, gaming and more.
