Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, July 1: at the recent Display Week conference in Los Angeles, two professors at the University of Michigan, Stephen R. Forrest and Chris Giebink, said that the theoretical life of the OLED screen is 100 years.
CTOnews.com Note: organic self-emitting diodes (OLED) are composed of red, green and blue, without liquid crystal layer and backlight layer, they can emit light on their own. The characteristics are: the electricity is bright, without electricity, it is not bright, the more electricity is, the brighter it is, and the less it is, the darker it is.
The two professors said that green diodes have the highest durability, while blue diodes have the lowest durability. Excluding the influence of blue diodes, the theoretical life of OLED panels is more than 100 years, or about 1 million hours.
OLED technology has been developed for 35 years, and the professor said the data are based on laboratory aging tests. OLED technology currently greatly reduces the number of blue diodes, but cannot be eliminated.
