In this issue, the editor will bring you about the use of DiskUsage, a new disk analysis tool in Windows 10. The article is rich in content and analyzed and described from a professional point of view. I hope you can get something after reading this article.

Microsoft is developing a new command-line tool called DiskUsage that can help users easily understand the space footprint on Windows 10 devices.

The new DiskUsage tool is already available in the preview version of Windows 10, which displays the size of disk folders and helps you understand the actual situation of files on PC. Using the DiskUsage command, folders that take up a lot of space on a particular drive / partition / directory can be identified at a glance.

You can find specific file types, scan specific folders or directories, identify the largest folders, and skip certain types of files.

For example, you can run the command "diskusage / minFileSize = 1073741824 / hc:\ windows" to quickly identify folders larger than 1073741824 bytes (that is, 1GB or 1000MB) in the "Windows" folder.

Use the command "diskusage / u = 5 / hc:\ windows" to sort the folder list by folder size.

Basically, using the DiskUsage tool, you can find the largest files and folders in a particular drive or directory, and then use filters to identify files larger or smaller than a certain size (gigabytes, megabytes, and kilobytes).

The tool is currently under development and has the following features:

Scan the specified folder or the entire driver, as well as the details of how much each subfolder is used.

Displays the size and reserved space of the system file (if enabled).

Filter information through FileSize and SizeOnDisk.

Use the greater than or equal to SIZE filter to identify the folder.

Output customization.

Currently, the DiskUsage tool can only be accessed from the command line, and hopefully we will eventually see it in Settings.

The above is the use of the newly added disk analysis tool DiskUsage in Windows 10 shared by Xiaobian. If you happen to have similar doubts, you might as well refer to the above analysis to understand. If you want to know more about it, you are welcome to follow the industry information channel.
