CTOnews.com previously reported that Audi FAW new energy vehicle project has been officially launched on February 18,2022, officially commenced on June 28 of the same year, and is scheduled to be completed in December 2024. After completion, B + pure electric SUV, B + pure electric SAV and C pure electric luxury sedan will be put into production, with a total production capacity of 150,000 vehicles/year.

▲ The sixth consecutive launch of Audi, the same as Audi FAW new energy vehicle project and various supporting projects marks that Audi is starting the preliminary work of producing brand-new pure electric vehicles on PPE platform in China market.

The new production base, located in Changchun City, Jilin Province, will be Audi's first factory in China to produce only pure electric vehicles. The entire plant covers an area of about 150 hectares, larger than Audi's Nekasum plant in Germany.

After the completion of the Audi FAW new energy vehicle project, the first PPE platform pure electric models will include Audi A6 e-tron and Audi Q6 e-tron. According to the brand plan, the first model Q6 e-tron based on Audi's new electric vehicle platform PPE (premium platform electric) will be officially launched in 2024.
