Most importantly, the release of the DirectX 11 community version driver for game lovers is a big step forward in driver adaptation.
It should be noted, however, that the compatibility of the MTT S80 motherboard is being further improved, and the Moore thread has officially passed the compatibility tests of more than 50 motherboards. In order to further reduce the threshold of everyone's installation and provide users with a ready-to-use experience of games and AI out of the box, Moore Thread launched a new mainframe product at the press conference-Zhi Entertainment Motors. This is a set of built-in MTT S80 / S70 graphics card ITX host, the internal also installed the system and drivers, really achieve ready-to-use.
The intelligent entertainment party received by CTOnews.com is configured to carry the version of MTT S80, and the configuration of the testing machine is as follows. In this article, let's take a look at its experience and see if it has improved compared to last year's driver.
The design intelligent entertainment side is an ITX specification host, the whole machine volume is only 19.5L, is a quite mini host, does not take up space on the table.
The whole machine adopts the design style of metal armored style, the front is covered with a large area of golden armor, and the Logo with Moore thread is printed in the middle.
It is worth mentioning that the testing machine is a gold shell, and the official version will be silver armor, the author thinks that the silver version will be more cool.
There are two handles at the top of the chassis for easy handling. The side plate has a large area hollowed-out grille, which improves the intake efficiency of cold air.
The front interface and switch button of the chassis are made on the side, providing boot key, restart key, 3.5mm audio interface, 10Gbps Type-C interface and 5Gbps USB-An interface.
In the latter interface, it provides 1 HDMI2.0 interface, 1 DP1.2 interface, 1 USB3.2 Gen1 Type-C, 4 USB2.0, 2 USB3.2 Gen1 Type-A, 1 2.5G network cable interface, 2 Wi-Fi 6 antenna interfaces, 3 3.5mm audio ports and 1 clear CMOS button, which is sufficient to meet most daily needs. Hardware disassembly, so how is the internal hardware designed and arranged? Let's take a look at the side panel next. The side plate of this chassis is doubly fixed with clasp and hexagonal screws, which is quite reliable and should be paid attention to when disassembling.
After taking apart the side panel, we can see that the hardware of the whole machine is arranged in a "back-to-back" way, and the heating areas are independent of each other, which is very beneficial to heat dissipation. The shell adopts an integrated design and uses aluminum alloy die-casting + CNC process. The heat dissipation part adopts the popular 3-fan design, and two 8cm fans plus the middle 7cm fan constitute a centrally symmetrical overall layout.

As a console that integrates games and AI, we naturally have to test its game experience first. The 221.31 official version of the driver is pre-installed at the factory, and players can upgrade the community version of the driver that is the first to support DX11 through the PES control center and check the function of accepting the push of the community version.
Since the graphics card only supports the very old DirectX 9 when we tested it last time, there are not many games that can be tested. After this update, the number of games we can play has more than doubled, and there are many 3A masterpieces and popular new games.
Moore Thread also provides a link to a game center on the desktop, and you can see some adapted games after clicking on it. You can see that it covers a lot of mainstream online games, as well as some popular high-quality independent games. Moore Thread says the list will continue to be updated.
Then let's carry on the game measurement next. The following tests are carried out under the 222.31.0.1 community version driver. When we evaluated MTT S80 last year, it didn't support many games and didn't fully perform, so we tested games such as "League of Legends", "CSGO" and "Crossing the Line of Fire". At what level has the frame performance of these games been optimized? Let's test League of Legends first. Now the MTT S80 can maintain the number of alignment frames at 300-350 frames at 1080p low picture quality, and the game experience is already excellent.
If it is turned on to 1080p high quality, the number of alignment frames can be maintained at about 250 frames.
If you drive to 2K high-definition quality, it can still be maintained at about 225 frames, and the game experience is very smooth.
The optimization in "Crossing the Line of Fire" is more obvious. in our previous test, the average frame rate is about 180 frames, but the stability of the frame number is not good and the fluctuation is relatively large. In the new version of the driver, not only the frame number has risen to about 240 frames, but also the stability of the frame number has been greatly improved, and the game experience has become better. And whether it is high-quality or low-quality, whether it is 1080p or 2K, it can be maintained at about 240 frames, and the number of frames is very stable.
If the drive to 4K high-definition quality, the CF can also be maintained at around 200 frames, it seems to fit very well.
CS:GO 's game experience has not encountered any BUG,1080P low-quality average of about 200 frames, can also play smoothly. In the actual game, most CSGO players will also choose low resolution and low image quality, so the frame rate of this game at 1080p low picture quality is of reference value.
Next, we're going to test some games that weren't tested last year to see how the MTT S80 fits. First, let's take a look at a heavyweight player-"the original God". In our actual measurement, under the setting of 1080p low image quality + 0.6 rendering ratio + FSR, it can be maintained at about 60 frames during the game. although the number of frames fluctuates greatly, it can satisfy smooth play after all.
If we drive to 1080P+0.8 times rendering + high definition + FSR, the number of frames is basically maintained at around 50 frames, and the game experience is still good.
Finally, the author also tested the 2K resolution + 0.8 rendering ratio + FSR + high quality, the results show that the average frame is about 40 frames, and the number of frames fluctuates greatly, looking forward to further optimization.
The author also tested DOTA2, the game's game experience is very good, the whole process is smooth and BUG-free. Under the measured 1080p low picture quality, the alignment can reach an average of about 100 frames.
In 1080p high-definition, the average frame of alignment time is 84 frames, and the experience is relatively smooth.
Finally, the author also tested the 2K resolution high quality, when the line-to-line average frame is about 65 frames, which can also meet the requirements of smooth play.
The author also tested a favorite independent game "Adventure in the Rain 2". Although the painting style of this game is simple, it still eats a lot of configuration because of many special effects. The measured average frame number of 1080p low picture quality can fluctuate around 150 frames, and the game experience is still very smooth.
If you turn it on to 1080p high quality, the number of frames will reach about 90 frames.
Finally, the author also tried a high resolution of 2K, and the result can be maintained at around 60 frames. However, as there are not many monsters at the beginning, the number of frames will be relatively high, so if you hit the later stage, you should not be able to hold 60 frames, or it is recommended to play with low picture quality.
In the latest launch of the "fearless contract" national service, the game experience is also very smooth. The average frame number of 1080p low picture quality can reach about 130-140 frames, and the frame number is stable without BUG.
If you turn it on to high quality, the number of frames will drop to about 50 frames, and we look forward to driving further optimization.
Finally, the author also tested a 3A masterpiece with explosive picture quality-"isolated Island crisis 3". Although it is only a 3A masterpiece from 10 years ago, it is also a 3A masterpiece after all, and the configuration requirements are still very high. Unexpectedly, MTT S80 also adapted, and the adaptation effect was good. It was measured that 1080p can run at an average of about 60-70 frames at low picture quality, and there was no BUG encountered in the game, which also shows that Moore thread has been adapting continuously to this classic game.
If you turn it on to 2K high-definition quality, the average number of frames will only be about 20-30 frames. The author is looking forward to the future development of the community version driver and further release the core performance.
To the author's surprise, there are many Moore threads officially did not claim to be compatible DX11 games have been able to enter smoothly, such as 3DMark FireStrike, "Control" and other DX11 projects. Although the BUG cannot be played in the screen, at least it shows that the new community version driver is really compatible with DX11. As long as the Moore thread can further optimize the DX11 adaptation, then this domestic graphics card will really be very practical.
Video codec for a home graphics card, not only to be able to play games, but also to have excellent video codec ability. When the MTT S80 graphics card was released, Moore Thread said that it supports H.264 and H.265 (HEVC) on hardware, adds the latest AV1 coding, and has three DP 1.4 interfaces that can output 8K and 4K pictures. But there wasn't much software support at that time.
However, after several driver updates, MTT S80 has been able to speed up local video smoothly. We play an 8K 60-frame video here, and the overall look and feel is still clear and smooth. In the task manager, we can also see that the GPU occupancy rate has reached 100%, and it seems that hardware acceleration is indeed under way.
Moore Thread has also partnered with byte jumps to adapt hardware acceleration for the professional edition. When we open the task manager when we render the video, we can see that GPU is actually working. With the strong single-core and multi-core performance of i5-13490F, the actual rendering speed is very good, which is enough for some short video editing.
It can be said that the video codec performance of MTT S80 is online, and the hardware has laid a good foundation. For most content consumers, they can buy it back and use it directly, and there is no pressure to watch 4K HDR videos. For video creators, the coding ability of MTT S80 hardware is also very strong. It is hoped that Moore Thread will work with more mainstream editing software to promote adaptation in the field of creative production.
AIGC domain experience recent ChatGPT and AI paintings have also greatly increased market interest in GPU. Therefore, Moore thread has also carried out research in the field of AIGC. In the official demonstration, the MTT S80 graphics card can already do some AI painting training in the Ubuntu environment. As long as you have basic code knowledge, you can play by yourself.
However, the threshold for building a local environment is still too high. In order to let more people experience the charm of AI painting, Moore Thread launched the AIGC content creation platform Maoliang, which can provide users with a variety of access methods, can log in through Web and Mini Program, or can be called remotely through rich API.

MTT S80 was only released in the second half of last year, and Moore Thread came out with MTT S70 and a community driver that supports DX11 in the first half of this year. And the number of supported game libraries has more than doubled. And in the actual games, most of the mainstream online games and some high-quality stand-alone games on the market have also been adapted, and the graphics cards of Moore threads have been quite available.
However, the MTT S80 graphics card is still a new thing after all, and it is not compatible with all mainstream motherboards.
