There is a hidden feature in Excel, "compare and merge workbooks", which can help us merge tabular data from multiple individuals. It is estimated that most people have not used it, and few people even veteran drivers know about it. It would be a pity if you don't know about such an easy-to-use function.

1, the opening function because the "compare and merge workbooks" function is hidden, so we must first turn on this function. Go to "File"-"options"-"Custom Ribbon", create a new "Tab", and prepare to put "compare and merge workbooks" into it.

Select commands that are not on the ribbon in the drop-down on the left, where you can find "protect shares" and "compare and merge workbooks" to add them to our new tab.

As we can see in Excel, "merge" is my new tab with the "compare and merge workbooks" and "share" functions we just dragged in. Why is compare and merge workbooks gray? Why should I put the "sharing" feature in it?

Because to use the compare and merge workbooks feature, you must first set the table to be shared! Also, some versions are shared in "review", while others need to be dragged out like me.

2. The usage scenario is shown in the figure below. My boss asked me to collect the information of my colleagues in the form.

3. Start using shared forms and save! Some versions may be different, and the operations are all the same.

Send the form directly to these colleagues, and then they fill in the information in their own names. (the position must be correct.)

After they have filled in the information, they are renamed to form documents with different names, and they can fill in their own names. (the same name will be overwritten when passed)

Open the original table and see that the compare and merge workbooks are no longer gray. We turn on this function, then select all the table files sent by our colleagues, and we can merge them all.

4, Tip 1, "compare and merge workbooks" is a multi-person collaborative tabulation function, can not only merge, but also update the modified table, if the subtable changes, you can merge again, at this time we merge the content will be updated, and will show traces of changes.

Privacy options-uncheck remove personal information from file properties when saving.
