CTOnews.com June 30, mobile data analysis firm data.ai recently released "2023 mobile app publisher revenue Top 50". Tencent topped the list for six years in a row, while byte jump jumped five places to second place. Chinese manufacturers as a whole performed well.

According to ▲ image source data.aidata.ai, the amount of time people spend on mobile devices increased to 5 hours a day in 2022, of which entertainment accounted for 70%, and short video applications led by TikTok accounted for a large share of user spending. 42 of the top 50 publishers make money mainly through in-app purchases, and the agency expects this trend to continue.

In particular, the report noted that byte jump achieved a record $3.3 billion (CTOnews.com Note: about 23.925 billion yuan) revenue (app revenue, non-company total revenue) thanks to TikTok's strong performance in 2022, double that of 2021.

From a regional point of view, 27 publishers based in the Asia-Pacific region entered the list, making it the main gathering area for top publishers. In terms of countries, the United States ranked first with 17 companies on the list, while China ranked second with 12.
