CTOnews.com, June 30 / PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet /-- Google recently announced that it will officially promote Privacy Sandbox to all Chrome users from the Chrome 115browser version, which will be released on July 12 this year, and plans to formally abandon third-party cookie in 2024.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Google said it had introduced a new API in Chrome 115 browser to make it easier for developers to place ads through real-time traffic to further improve the advertising ecology. Google acknowledges that there is a risk of abuse of the new API and that there is no way to limit it through technical means at this stage.

One Chrome developer commented on GitHub: "We have added a requirement in Chrome that developers need to register before they can call these API and promise not to abuse these API. There is currently no technical means to solve these problems, but this approach can help solve this problem at this stage."
