After the incident, Tencent officially decided to cancel the 0.1% fee actually charged by WeChat Pay and retain only 0.1% of the partner's. The official announcement is as follows:

Due to our inadequate consideration of the division of campus profit scenarios, the original rate adjustment involves the life service scenarios operated by the main body of the school. After the collection and feedback of opinions from all parties, we have decided to maintain the preferential policy of zero rate for the above life service scenarios, and will still issue 0.1% technical service fee to the partners who provide services and technical support to the school.
