Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
According to news in the morning of June 30, Beijing time, Microsoft CEO Nadella thanked employees for their contributions to "a milestone fiscal year" on Wednesday, local time, but some employees expressed dissatisfaction.
According to Microsoft's internal forum post, on the same day, Microsoft CEO Nadella posted a post to thank all employees.
Nadella wrote that as fiscal year 2023 draws to a close, he wants to express his sincere gratitude to all Microsoft employees who have worked hard and created a good end of the fiscal year. He said that the innovation and creativity shown by Microsoft employees made Microsoft a milestone year, benefiting the company's customers and partners.
He thanked the extended family of Microsoft employees and encouraged everyone to take root in Microsoft's corporate mission and culture and move on. Nadella also expressed optimism about the upcoming fiscal year.
About 200000 Microsoft employees read Nadella's thank-you posts, and the vast majority of employees expressed their support with top posts. About 130 employees wrote reply posts, half of which were positive, and a large number of employees expressed dissatisfaction with Nadella.
'The best way to thank employees is to restart the pay increase, 'one employee wrote, pointing out that Microsoft executives who made salary decisions were themselves worth millions of dollars, and the post garnered 250 posts.
Another post said that Microsoft and its leadership have made record profits, but employees have suffered a pay cut, which is unreasonable. This post was posted by more than 100 people.
Another employee complained that he didn't feel superior because he didn't understand how Microsoft got its record profits. The man complained that he needed to work 14 to 16 hours a day at Microsoft, but his salary growth was stagnant and his health care burden was increasing.
A Microsoft spokesman did not comment on employees' complaints. There are comments that employees are so dissatisfied with Nadella's year-end thank-you note, which is also a sign that there is a problem with the morale of Microsoft's internal employees.
According to reports, a small opinion poll within Microsoft shows that more and more employees say they are prepared to leave Microsoft if they get other applications with similar conditions.
After Microsoft announced in January that it would lay off 10, 000 employees, the company temporarily shelved wage increases and said it would cut bonuses and stock incentive plans. In addition, Microsoft earlier announced that it would buy American game developer Activision Blizzard for $69 billion, but encountered a lot of resistance, and the US government has launched an antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft.
Despite the eventful times, Microsoft's revenue in the last fiscal year is expected to hit an all-time high, and Microsoft's share price is now near an all-time high, with a market capitalization of $2.5 trillion (currently about 18.13 trillion yuan). Some internal documents also show Nadella's ambitions for Microsoft. A year ago, for example, Nadella revealed to other executives a plan to double Microsoft's revenue to $500 billion (currently about 3.63 trillion yuan) by fiscal year 2030.
