Recently, a third-party developer has launched an unofficial version of the big eye clip, which allows users to use ChatGPT.

CTOnews.com noted that FireCube Studios launched a free preview version of the big eye clip on Microsoft Store (Microsoft Store) this week for Windows 10 and 11 users. The big eye clip can get answers from OpenAI's ChatGPT chatbot, using a GPT 3.5 model. The developers point out that users can fix the big-eye clip to the desktop to quickly get the answer to the question from the generative artificial intelligence.

This big eye clip app is available free of charge, but there is a big limitation that users need to buy an OpenAI key to use it. Developers say they are trying to launch a new version that allows them to use large eye clips without buying a key. The application itself is open source and the code can be obtained from GitHub.

FireCube Studios says they are making more improvements to their version of the big eye clip. These include adding more office assistant roles, including the truly infamous Bob. Bob, a yellow smiley face with glasses and a logo of Microsoft's Windows software designed to provide a "friendlier" user interface, was launched in March 1995, but quickly failed and was eliminated less than a year later.

Although many people are nostalgic for the big eye clip, it is clear that Microsoft does not want to bring an office assistant similar to the big eye clip for Bing chat and can only use this unofficial version of the big eye clip instead.
