Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, June 29, according to the latest survey, the vast majority of Apple Mac users use laptops, such as the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.

The survey, released by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), aims to understand how Apple customers use their computers and is divided into three categories: personal, business and educational.

The survey results show that 85 per cent of Mac users for educational purposes own MacBook Air or MacBook Pro, and only 15 per cent use desktop models such as iMac or Mac Pro. Desktops account for the highest proportion of Mac users for personal use, but only 20 per cent (11 per cent of them iMac,9% is Mac Pro), while laptop models account for more than 80 per cent. 83% of Mac users for commercial use use MacBook,17% to use desktops (of which 7% are iMac,10% and Mac Pro).

Considering the portability and versatility of laptops, they are more popular than desktops in different usage scenarios.

However, CTOnews.com noted that the Mac mini and Mac Studio were not mentioned in the survey. It may be because the two products have a low overall market share of 3 per cent and 1 per cent respectively, so CIRP did not include them in the survey.

At the end of the report, CIRP pointed out that Apple's upcoming new 15-inch MacBook Air may further increase the share of laptops in educational and business use.
