CTOnews.com June 28 news, Hon Hai Group invested in semiconductor packaging factory Xunxin held a general meeting of shareholders today, TSMC legendary veteran Jiang Shangyi will serve as chairman of the company.

▲ source: Xunxin, Xunxin said that Jiang Shangyi, a former COO of TSMC, has rich experience in the semiconductor industry and will help the company gain competitive advantage in three core business areas, including artificial intelligence, semiconductors and next-generation communication technology.

CTOnews.com noticed that Jiang Shangyi is a legendary engineer in the semiconductor industry, affectionately known as "Dad Jiang" by TSMC people. It has presided over the research and development of key technologies for TSMC from 250nm to 16nm FinFET nodes, making TSMC surpass IBM and become a technology leader from technology follower.

According to reports, the shareholders' meeting also discussed the listing of the subsidiary Xunyun Electronic Technology (Zhongshan) Co., Ltd. in China's A-share IPO this year. If the listing is successful, Xunxin's shareholding ratio will be reduced from the current 78.05% to about 70%, and more funds will be raised for the development of the company.
