CTOnews.com inquiry learned that Huaneng Laiwu New Energy Co., Ltd. Huaneng Laiwu Energy Storage Power Plant Phase I (100/200MWh) project is located in Jinan City Laiwu District Huaneng Laiwu Power Plant 135MW units removed after the plant area, the proposed use of existing construction land of about 36 mu, planning and construction phase I (100/200MWh) energy storage power plant, the project uses lithium iron phosphate energy storage technology, charging rate 0.5C, container integration scheme.

According to reports, the energy storage power station is one of the energy storage demonstration projects in Shandong Province in 2022. It can store 200000 kilowatt hours of electricity on a single charge, which can meet the electricity needs of about 30,000 households in a day.

For the first time, the power station adopts 1500 volt voltage grade network modular energy storage converter (PCS) and national production energy management system (EMS), which has the advantages of strong system inertia, voltage and frequency support. through the fine and intelligent management of battery energy in the energy storage system, it can stabilize the fluctuation of new energy generation, improve the power grid regulation capacity, and effectively deal with the problems of large peak-valley difference and rapid change of power grid load.

The official also said that the power station is the first Huaneng major technical equipment "independent controllable battery energy storage integrated management and control system" scientific and technological achievements industrialization application demonstration project, the system from the whole station point of view of PCS, EMS and other in-depth integration and optimization, reduce the incidence of data processing and communication failures between subsystems, and greatly improve the operation efficiency of the control system.

After the project is put into operation, it will be incorporated into the unified dispatching management of Shandong Power Grid, mainly participating in the province's power assistance, power grid peak regulation, energy storage capacity leasing and other services, which can consume about 100 million kilowatt-hours of new energy and reduce coal consumption by about 31000 tons. to ensure the stable operation of Shandong power grid, improve the comprehensive utilization of new energy resources, and build a new power system to provide support.
