CTOnews.com, June 27, a new Microsoft internal presentation reveals the company's long-term goals for Windows.

As you can see from the changes in business, Microsoft is moving more and more content to the cloud, expanding services such as Microsoft 365.

In an internal "state of business" demonstration in June 2022, Microsoft discussed how to migrate the full Windows operating system to the cloud and stream it to any device.

In fact, the PPT is part of an ongoing FTC hearing with Microsoft because it includes Microsoft's overall gaming strategy and its relationship to the rest of the company's business.

Simply put, "moving Windows 11 more and more to the cloud" is seen by Microsoft as a long-term opportunity in "modern life" consumption, including leveraging "the power of the cloud and clients to implement improved artificial intelligence services and comprehensive roaming of people's digital experience."

In another PPT, Microsoft mentions the need to "enhance the business value of Windows and address the Chromebook threat" for its "modern work" priorities in fiscal year 2022, while "long-term business opportunities include increasing the use of cloud PC through Windows 365".

Thanks to Windows 365, Microsoft can stream a full version of Windows to any device, but it is currently limited to commercial customers, but Microsoft has deeply integrated it into Windows 11.

Future updates to Windows 365 will include Windows 365Boot, which will enable Windows 11 devices to log in directly to the cloud PC instead of the local Windows at startup.

In May, Microsoft began inviting users to test its Windows 365 Boot cloud service, which can be accessed by all devices upgrading to Win11 22H2. As shown in the figure, you can log in directly to Windows 365 Cloud PC.

In addition, Windows 365Switch has been built into Windows 11 to integrate cloud PC into Task View (virtual desktop) capabilities.

Microsoft has also come up with the idea of completely migrating consumer-side Windows to the cloud, while also investing in custom chip partnerships.

Microsoft is said to be doing some work on its Arm-based Surface Pro X devices.

Microsoft is considering designing its own Arm processors for servers and may even introduce them into Surface devices, according to a Bloomberg report at the end of 2020. In addition, it has recently been reported that Microsoft is developing its own AI chip.

Microsoft said that the original intention of the Windows Boot cloud service is to go directly to the cloud PC login interface after turning on the computer, and immediately access the cloud account service without the need to start other applications.

Microsoft says no additional steps are needed to access Windows 365 Cloud PC, and users can use virtual desktops immediately after logging in to their account. This service is very useful for users who need to access a PC in multiple locations.

Microsoft does not open Windows 365 Boot,CTOnews.com to all users as follows:
