She said that China's 5G network construction follows the "moderately advanced" principle, leading the world in network construction, effectively supporting the large-scale application of 5G and the innovative development of the digital economy.

As of May this year, the total number of 5G base stations in China reached 2.844 million, accounting for 25.3% of the total number of mobile base stations, and the coverage rate of administrative regions above the county level reached 100%, realizing "county-to-county access to 5G". Among them, China Telecom and China Unicom have jointly built more than 1 million shared 5G base stations, and China Mobile and China Radio and Television have jointly built and shared more than 500000 700MHz 5G base stations.

On the other hand, China's 5G network co-construction and sharing has achieved positive results, and roaming of different networks has been accelerated. China Telecom and China Unicom have jointly built more than 1 million shared 5G base stations, covering the extension from urban to rural areas; China Mobile and China Radio and Television have jointly built and shared more than 500000 700MHz 5G base stations, accurately building 2.6GHz and 4.9GHz frequency bands, and realizing continuous coverage of urban, county and township areas across the country.

She also mentioned that the construction of virtual private network in China's 5G industry is accelerating. As of March 2023, the total number of virtual private networks in 5G industry has exceeded 16000, covering industrial, port, energy, medical and other fields.

To promote the large-scale development of 5G applications, she suggests: 1. Appropriate deployment in advance to consolidate the infrastructure base; 2. Separate and classified measures to speed up the diffusion of application scale; 3. Build a strong industrial system to promote industry financing and innovation; 4. Enhance the main capacity, smooth ecological financing channels.
