CTOnews.com noticed that after wafers entered the era of advanced manufacturing processes below 7nm, TSMC contract quotations went up all the way. At present, the quotation of TSMC 7nm and 6nm wafers has doubled to more than US $10, 000, while that of 5nm and 4nm wafers is about US $16000.

For 2nm wafers with prices approaching 25000 yuan, there are fewer and fewer customers with available products and financial resources, but these customers have established a long-term cooperative relationship with TSMC. Industry insiders said that as TSMC's OEM quotations have remained high, coupled with inflation and other factors, prices for new products this year, such as Nvidia's GPU for games, AI's GPU, Apple's new generation of iPhone, and so on, the "high price positioning of these products can not go back."
