CTOnews.com, June 25 (Xinhua)-- semiconductor equipment giant Edwin recently announced that he will work with chip maker NXP to open the world's first university course on semiconductor test engineering.

▲ source: Edwin Edwin said that the course is called "EEE 522RF testing". The earliest lectures were edited by professors at the Fulton School of Engineering at ASU. After the establishment of the partnership, courses that begin in the spring semester of 2023 will be joined in laboratory experiments designed by Edwin and will be jointly supervised by Edwin Test and NXP to ensure the quality of teaching.

The reason is that semiconductor giants such as TSMC and Intel have set up factories in the state, and the demand for test engineers is growing in the future. Raghu Maddali, an engineering executive at NXP, said the course was the best example of industry-university cooperation.

Students will be supervised by experts from NXP and Edwin, and will be able to operate the "most advanced" automated testing platform in the industry.
