CTOnews.com obtained from the official account of Sichuan that the site of Kola Phase I photovoltaic power station is 4600 meters above sea level, has an installed capacity of 1 million kilowatts, covers an area of 25000 mu, and uses nearly 50, 000 tons of steel for photovoltaic support. The power station is connected to the Lianghekou Hydropower Station with a distance of 50 kilometers and an installed capacity of 3 million kilowatts through the 500kV transmission line.

Kola Phase I photovoltaic power station is the largest and highest water-solar complementary project in the world, with an average annual power generation of 2 billion kWh, saving more than 600000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 1.6 million tons per year. After the demonstration base is completed, it can contribute about 3000 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity every year, the annual power generation is equivalent to about 250 million tons of carbon dioxide reduction per year, and the consumption of standard coal is reduced by more than 90 million tons.

It is understood that photovoltaic power stations can only generate electricity during the day and no electricity at night; more power is generated when the sun is sufficient, but less in cloudy days, with volatility and intermittence, so the power generation curve is zigzag.
