In December, Microsoft promised to bring the series of games to Nintendo consoles within the next 10 years after the deal is completed. However, people are also worried about whether the hardware performance of the Nintendo Switch can support this demanding game.

During the court battle between the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Microsoft, the Xbox team revealed some information about the performance of call of Duty on Nintendo Switch. According to court records provided by Derek Strickland, FTC asked about the game's performance on Switch and Xbox. Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft's games division and president of Xbox, replied that the transplanted version of call of Duty on Switch would strive to achieve "the same or better quality as other games on the platform." Asked if call of Duty would look the same on Switch as its Series X version, Spencer admitted that although the game would play very well on Switch, it would have a different visual effect than the Xbox version.

In addition, Matt Booty, director of Xbox Game Studio, confirmed that call of Duty can run on Switch as long as the development team adjusts graphics, footage, and frame rate accordingly.

It is important to note that Switch itself has lower performance than PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S. Therefore, when bringing multi-platform games to Switch, you usually need to make a compromise in terms of picture quality and frame rate. Microsoft, on the other hand, currently plans to complete its acquisition of Activision Blizzard on July 18, but if they lose the hearing, the company will be forced into a "three-year administrative nightmare", whose lead lawyer, Beth Wilkinson, said the outcome of the hearing would actually "determine whether the deal can proceed."
