CTOnews.com June 25 news, FAW Hongqi official Xuan, recently, the HMP platform's first electric drive assembly HDU35 B prototype in the R & D Institute of vehicle Development Institute trial-production department successfully offline.

According to reports, FAW Red Flag completed the delivery of the B prototype 10 days ahead of schedule even though the overall plan was compressed for 10 months.

According to previous reports from CTOnews.com, HDU35 is one of the core systems of FAW Red Flag hybrid platform HMP. It is a horizontal hybrid transmission, which is used in An and B hybrid models. Its axial length claims to be the shortest 376mm in the industry, and for the first time it uses medium voltage silicon carbide inverter and multi-layer flat line oil-cooled motor to reduce the assembly weight by more than 10kg compared with similar products.

Qiu Xiandong, director and general manager of FAW, previously said that there will be mass production of two complete vehicle products equipped with HMP platform in the second half of this year.
