Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com June 25 news, Sony Interentertainment (SIE) President Jim Ryan (Jim Ryan) previously confirmed when questioned by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) that if Microsoft succeeds in acquiring Activision Blizzard, Sony will not share any details with Activision Blizzard about the next-generation PS host (tentatively named PS6).

The statements were made public through recent disclosures of court documents, and many of Ryan's statements were deleted after being questioned by the FTC in April. Axios reporter Stephen Totilo recently declassified some of the deleted content on his Twitter.

Ryan said bluntly: "it is impossible for Sony to take the risk of providing this information to companies owned by direct competitors." He also complained that if Microsoft completes the acquisition, the development process of the PS version of Activision-related games will be interrupted, if not completely, at least seriously hampering Activision Blizzard's efforts to develop games for PS consoles.

Ryan also said he was worried that Activision Blizzard would no longer have the incentive to adapt its games to PS's unique features, such as DualSense tactile feedback, after being acquired by Microsoft. "I believe Microsoft's main direction after the acquisition is to optimize its overall Xbox business, rather than (giving priority to) Activision Blizzard's business," he stressed.

CTOnews.com has previously reported that Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft's Xbox business, recently complained that Sony was reluctant to provide Microsoft with PS5's development kit. When other developers get the suite, Microsoft does not get the same treatment, resulting in Microsoft developers at a disadvantage in development.
