CTOnews.com, June 25 (Xinhua)-- Meta and the European Union have agreed to conduct stress tests on the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) in July, Reuters reported. Thierry Thierry Breton, the EU's industry director, had asked Meta to take immediate action on child-oriented content on its platform.

"I met with Mark Zuckerberg, chief executive of Meta, in Menlo Park and had fruitful discussions on EU digital regulations such as DSA, DMA (EU Digital Markets Act) and artificial Intelligence Act," Bretton tweeted. He added that about 1000 Meta employees were working around DSA.

Bretton said in early June that Meta must announce its planned measures after August 25 to comply with EU online content rules, or DSA, or face severe sanctions.

Meta has not commented on the news.

CTOnews.com previously reported that DSA banned certain types of advertising on online platforms, such as ads aimed at children or ads generated using specific categories of personal data such as race, political views and sexual orientation.
