CTOnews.com, June 24 (Xinhua) the Australian Prime Minister recently responded to the advice of cyber security experts, urging users to turn off their mobile phones for five minutes a day.

Anthony Albanese, Australia's prime minister, announced as the country's first national cyber security coordinator that Australia needed to be proactive in curbing cyber risks and advocating the cyber security measure, asking users to turn off their phones for five minutes a day.

Albannis says we only need to do one simple thing to improve security: turn off your phone for five minutes every 24 hours, and you can do it while brushing your teeth or any other time.

Albannis said the move could curb notorious spyware such as Pegasus, and rebooting the device could reduce the risk of being monitored.

CTOnews.com previously reported that the National Security Agency (NSA) endorsed the proposal, recommending that mobile phone users restart their phones at least once a week for the same reason.
