CTOnews.com June 24, Philip Shoemaker (Phillip Shoemaker) left Apple in 2016 as director of App Store, leading app approvals and other tasks.

In a recent interview with MobileGamer.biz, Shoemaker said that App Store's existing application design guidelines have many drawbacks, and accused Phil Schiller (Phil Schiller) of rejecting many apps. Philip Shoemaker (Phillip Shoemaker) founded Apple's app review department in 2009 until he left in 2016.

Shoemaker, the application design guide, said in an interview that the App Store design guide was written in "a very gray way" so that Apple had ample buffer zone to determine which applications it would launch on the platform.

Shoemaker said that the application design guide is built brick by brick, and constantly improve and set up the "retaining wall", and Apple has never cared about relaxing the App Store design guidelines.

Apple rewrote the design guidelines in 2017, but in essence it didn't change, opening up more grey areas instead.

The design guide is supposed to be black and white, to make clear what can be done and what cannot be done. But in Apple's design guidelines, different applications can be handled in different ways.

Refuse to use Shoemaker in an interview to express his personal dissatisfaction with Phil Schiller (Phil Schiller).

Schumaker labeled Schiller "Apple Fellow", saying that although Schiller was completely close to retirement, he was still telling the App Store team what to do.

Schumaker says Schiller and his team meet every week to discuss whether certain apps and games should be allowed or denied.
