Promote password-free experience Microsoft believes that passwords will be completely replaced in the future interactive experience, users no longer need to enter a password when logging into a website or application, they can achieve password-free experience through Passkeys.

Passkey has become a trend that not only simplifies the process for users to log in to a website or application, but also makes it harder for bad actors to steal and use your credentials. Passkey is anti-phishing, recoverable, and faster for users.

Microsoft is improving the Passkey experience for Windows users using Passkey login applications and websites. Through the Windows Hello native experience, users can use Passkey to create and log in to any supporting websites and applications.

After creating a Passkey, users can log in through Windows Hello authentication such as face, fingerprint and PIN. In addition, users can use their mobile phones to complete the application login process.

Create or log in to Passkey on a Windows device: visit bestbuy.com, ebay.com, google.com and other websites that support Passkey

Create a key from your account settings.

Log out of your account and log in using the key.

Use the previously saved Passkey on your phone: visit bestbuy.com, ebay.com, google.com and other websites that support Passkey

Create a key from your account settings.

Jump to the Windows page and log in using the key saved on the mobile device.

Manage existing Passkey Microsoft provides the ability to manage Passkey, users can navigate to "account > Settings" > "Passkeys" to see the saved Passkey list, and search and delete any Passkey from it.

Win11 Build 23486 preview update and improvement: [file manager] Microsoft removed some classic applications from the file manager in the Win11 Build 23481 preview update.

Microsoft withdrew these removal options based on feedback from Windows Insider project members, and users can continue to use them.

[Dev Home] [added] Microsoft says the new version is now an inbox application. On future flights, you will find Dev Home through start > all applications > Windows tools.

[Emoji] Microsoft invited some users to test Unicode Emoji 15 in Build 23475. In the latest version, Microsoft invited all Dev channel users to test Emoji 15.

[settings] Microsoft improves the time zone adjustment experience by fixing problems such as low confidence in location data. If the location setting is disabled, a warning is now displayed to the user urging them to enable the location setting to ensure accurate time zone adjustment.
