According to Meta, the GPU speed of Quest 2 will increase by 19%, while the GPU speed of Quest Pro will increase by 11%, and the CPU performance of the two models will also be improved by 26%. In addition, Meta adds dynamic resolution scaling to allow applications to take advantage of higher pixel density and a consistent frame rate.

Developers can also update their games and applications to adapt to performance improvements. In its blog post, Meta showed a video showing that the resolution of the game "the Walking Dead: saints and sinners" has been significantly improved after the headline performance update.

The Explore tag now contains media content from Meta, including short videos and content from Facebook and Instagram accounts, as well as Reels that has been tested before. Meta Horizon Worlds also has new places to explore, as well as new Avatar digital clothing. Updates to the above new Explore section are being rolled out "gradually" to users.

In the v54 version of Meta Quest software, the company has introduced notifications from non-VR applications, including Messenger notifications. Now in the v55 version, Meta has added a separate Messenger application that allows you to communicate with your friends in VR without having to take your head off and take out your smartphone. Finally, Meta Quest Browser also adds multi-touch gesture support, which allows users to zoom in, out, and interact with elements using controllers or gestures, and Apple's Vision Pro supports similar gesture controls.
