CTOnews.com June 22, Apple today released visionOS's first Beta version, SDK (6.85GB), which allows third-party developers to develop applications for Vision Pro headsets.

For developers who want to migrate existing iPhone or iPad applications to Vision Pro header display, first of all, the header display does not support certain types of applications, and secondly, the whole migration is not easy.

Apple has officially made it clear that applications including iMessage stickers, custom input methods, map navigation applications and photography cannot be ported to visionOS.

CTOnews.com lists features and tools that are not applicable to visionOS applications here:

Core Motion, barometer, magnetometer, tactile and other equipment frames

Location data outside of standard services

HealthKit data, which means that the header does not collect health data or health applications

Third-party apps show that the camera on the Vision Pro header display cannot be used to take pictures and record videos.

VisionOS will hide the AirPlay button in the interface

App Clips, watchOS application extensions, widgets for home screen or lock screen

Handoff does not attempt to pass activity from visionOS to other devices

Users cannot add HomeKit devices from Apple Vision Pro

Multi-touch is limited to two touch inputs, not 10
