1. Open the terminal from your system application initiator. When open, run the command to add PPA:

Linuxmi@linuxmi:~/www.linuxmi.com$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:aslatter/ppa

Enter the user password prompted by sudo (no asterisk feedback), and then press Enter to continue.

2. Adding PPA will also automatically refresh the system package cache, run the apt command to install the terminal emulator:

Linuxmi@linuxmi:~/www.linuxmi.com$ sudo apt install alacritty

After the installation is complete, either open it or launch it from the system application or press Ctrl+Alt+T on the keyboard.

Uninstall Alacritty:

To delete the terminal emulator, run the command:

Linuxmi@linuxmi:~/www.linuxmi.com$ sudo apt remove-auto-remove alacritty

To delete the Ubuntu PPA, run the command on the terminal:

Linuxmi@linuxmi:~/www.linuxmi.com$ sudo add-apt-repository-remove ppa:aslatter/ppa

Or open the software & update and delete the repository row under the other Software tab.
