According to Bloomberg, Stellantis plans to launch an all-electric car with a price of about $27000 in 2024, possibly alongside Volvo EX30 and Volkswagen ID.2, according to Bloomberg.

Stellantis Citroen is said to be planning to launch an urban model called e-C3, which will compete exclusively with China's Renault Nissan's Dacia Spring and Renault 5EV.

"Citroen has a long history of producing affordable cars, and now its role is to give everyone access to electric travel. There are no comparable models on the market," said Thierry Thierry Koskas, head of the Citroen brand.

The electric car, which can travel 186miles (299.34 kilometers) after a full charge, plans to sell 1 million this year, up from nearly 700000 in 2022.

In fact, the traditional carmaker hopes to have a 5% share of the European market by the end of the second quarter of 2023. Stellantis must compete with Chinese car brands such as BYD to achieve this goal, and the company also needs to accelerate its transition to electric vehicles.

It is speculated that the electric car will be similar in size to the soon-to-be-launched Chevrolet Bolt EV and may come into contact with the rumored $25000 new Tesla car.

CTOnews.com inquiries learned that Stellantis was formed by the merger of Fiat Chrysler (FCA) and Peugeot-Citroen (PSA), with FCA and PSA each holding a 50 per cent stake in the combined company.

Stellantis aims to sell all its passenger cars in Europe and 50 per cent of its passenger cars and light trucks in the US by 2030. The company plans to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2038 and reduce carbon emissions by 50% from 2021 levels by 2030.

It is worth mentioning that after Ford and GM announced that they would adopt Tesla's North American charging Standard (NACS), Stellantis is also considering adopting Tesla's charging standard, but it is not yet ready to adopt it.
